As soon as you get to the stasis pods/crew chamber, find an item (or bring one with you) and clip through a gap along the glass floor to the Generator room (seen in image). Since the rooms are directly above each other, you don’t have to go through the tunnels with the biomass. Leave the item wedged in the gap, so that you can use it to clip back up.
